PackGoat 2.0 is a ground-up redesign built around a new visual language: stickers. Packing is visual, a picture of the thing beats a line of text, so your packing list stops being a wall of words and becomes the gear itself, laid out and ready to scan at a glance.

The Story

PackGoat was built by Fredrik, an independent iOS developer from Norway, out of personal frustration with packing. He always packed at the last minute and never knew where to start, so he built the app he wished existed: one that hands you a complete list before you've done any of the work.

What It Does

Never start from scratch again

Users pick ready-made Starter Packs (climbing, ski, beach, work travel, a kids' bag) or build their own reusable templates. Each one adds to a trip in one tap with every item included, rendered as stickers.

A list built for this exact trip

PackGoat builds a packing list from the gear the user actually owns, tuned to destination, dates, and real weather, then AI suggestions catch the easy-to-miss items on top. Processed on-device with Apple Intelligence.

Always the right amount

Items carry quantity rules: fixed, per day, per night, or a combination of both. PackGoat calculates the exact amount for any trip length automatically.

Track your bag weight

Users add weight to items and see their total update in real time, so they can stay under airline carry-on limits before the gate. Hikers and backpackers can manage pack weight too.

Share trips with family and friends

Users can share a trip as a copy. The recipient gets their own independent version of the list to pack from, with all items already included.

PackGoat Pro

Pro unlocks iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac plus unlimited trips and templates. Available as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The free tier covers core functionality.
